Abstract: In this talk, we introduce at first the structure for quantum computing. Then we explain the importance and that why control is mandatory for the sake of quantum computing. To do this, we at first briefly explain quantum state, quantum bits (qubits), different qubit platforms and quantum logic circuits. Then we explain the closed and open quantum systems and their relevant quantum dynamics. We mention the vulnerable effects on open quantum systems and introduce famous quantum control methods that was employed by quantum physicists. Finally, I describe my current and future works on quantum control technology.
About the Speaker: Javad Sharifi was born in Iran in 1980. He received B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad at 2003, M.Sc degree in Electrical (Control) Engineering from University of Tehran in 2006, and Ph.D. degree in Electrical (Control) Engineering from Tarbiat Modares University in 2011. Since 2011, he is an assistant professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Qom University of Technology. His research interest is modelling, estimation and control of quantum systems and some of other physical systems. In addition, he works on derivation and development of novel estimation and control methodologies.
